Mapping & Reporting

How the Furniture Inventory Works

  1. Site assessment We agree on the target location, the scope of the inventory, and the specific furniture data required.
  2. We conduct the inventory on-site, recording dimensions, manufacturer, model, quantity, and other relevant details.
  3. We document the conditions with photos. We photograph every unique item, as clear images often visualize the situation much more effectively than text alone. We operate flexibly while respecting site constraints, as an active working environment presents specific limitations to inventory work. To ensure cost-efficiency, the inventory is primarily conducted as a visual inspection; we do not individually test every single item. If your site requires a more detailed condition assessment, we are happy to accommodate this — simply let us know when contacting us.
  4. Data handling Photos, furniture details, quantities, dimensions, and condition assessments are compiled into a unified dataset.
We pre-code the furniture as part of the design process. By coding the existing furniture in advance, architects don’t have to spend time specifying them, making drawing and layout planning effortless. This streamlines the design phase and yields clear cost savings.
  5. We provide a clearly structured reportthat serves both as a foundation for move planning and as source material for your sustainability communications.
    The deliverable includes:
    • A visual and interactive PDF report for reviewing results easily and adding notes.
    • Raw Excel data for further processing.
    • An interactive planning table (Excel) to support removal planning.
This planning table streamlines the layout design and resale process. It automatically calculates remaining furniture quantities and helps visualize their new placements.
